Communication and Education

The Bath in Bloom Committee has an excellent relationship with the local press. For several years, the Bath Chronicle has supported the Committee by providing regular press coverage of activities and promoting both the entries and local ‘In Bloom’ competition.

The local competition provides an opportunity for the Committee to encourage residents, businesses, schools and community groups to take pride in their surroundings and make them attractive with flowers and landscaping. Many projects have wider benefits with opportunities for people, particularly the young, to learn new skills. The competition is open to all those living and working in the Bath and North East Somerset district.

 We use own volunteer led web site to promote the local competition, this provides additional information on the range of ‘In Bloom’ activities and initiatives taking place across the city, and advice for those wishing to get more involved. The Committee has its own ‘Facebook’ page and has been making good use of ‘Twitter’ .
