Development and Continuity

In October 2012, the Bath in Bloom Committee held its first AGM and adopted a constitution. Whilst the Committee had always met regularly and taken minutes of its meetings, this step has enabled it to clarify its legal status and established it as a clear partner to Bath and North East Somerset Council. It will also enable the Committee to establish partnerships with other relevant organisations in future. Whilst Council officers sit on the Committee, their role is advisory and they do not vote at meetings.

Advantages of constitution

Being constituted also enables the Committee to apply for a wider range of funding and appropriate changes were made to the existing bank account.

We are always looking out for new members. If you'd like to help, please contact us, bathinbloom@gmail.com

Looking to the future

Work is now underway on preparing strategies that will look at the development of the entry, local competition, further partnerships, fund-raising, promotions and also the creation of a ‘Friends Group’ to further support the work of the Committee and potentially provide a source of funding.
